We are a family. A big family, by today’s standards. And this is a collection of what goes on in our lives . . . under our roof. Or maybe not under our roof. We may write about something that has happened outside, or in public, or at a friend’s or family member’s house. See, we’ve taken a big leap — we’ve moved from the state we called home for *so* many years and ventured to a new place, new home, new church, new school, new neighborhood, new job, new town, new friends. But even with all the “new” to embrace, we long to stay connected to what was familiar: our family and friends in our “home state”. This blog is one way we are attempting to do that. One way we can inform the masses about what we’re up to in our new home. Here you’ll find stories of this big family’s adventures in living life, one day at a time. You never know what you’ll find; it may be a word of wisdom from the 6 year old, it may be a recipe from the 10 year old. It could be a picture of us enjoying our new surroundings, or possibly a DIY tutorial of a fun project. It may be a random story of our adventures in homeschooling. We’re new to blogging, and this is just the beginning. But as Ecclesiastes says, there is a time for everything, a season for every activity. Here at Seasons Under Heaven, you’ll be reading about what we’re in the midst of. Sometimes it will be pretty. Sometimes it may not be. But know that all along the way, we’re loving each other, loving others and most importantly, loving our God, whatever season life finds us in the midst of.
