Probably breaking some Instagram rules by posting pictures completely unrelated to my current “project” — but a rainy morning turned sunny afternoon calls for pretty pictures of the back porch!

I’m still in awe over the gorgeous wood hiding under layers of paint — I honestly can’t believe it was ever painted in the first place! I’m so glad I took the time to strip it and restore it to its original beauty. Well, almost original. The cane is an unexpected addition, due to the broken glass (any story-watchers remember how it broke??!) But I call that a happy accident, because I love the look of the cane! What do you think of the final look?

I’ve had my mind set to refinish this cabinet for some years now and it’s finally going down — like and follow along to see what she looks like when all done!
